Wix Forms: Add and set up a subscription form

Add a subscriber form to your website to create an email list. All visitors who register using the form will be automatically added to your contact list. So you can send them newsletters and updates.

To add the subscription form:

  1. Click in the editor on the left Add.
  2. Click on Contacts & forms.
  3. Scroll down to the section Subscription.
  4. Click a form or drag it to the desired location on your website.
  5. Click on Form settings.
  6. Click on the field Settings.

That's how it's done

  1. Enter or edit the name of the form.
    Note: This name will not be displayed on your website, it is for your information only. You can see it in notification emails and inbox messages. You can also see it in your submission table if you've created one.
  2. Click on Email notifications, to specify who should receive notifications when a form is submitted. Learn more
  3. (Optional) Click Double opt-into add another verification step for your subscribers. Learn more

    Tip: Here you can also manage your form submissions by clicking on Submission table click.

7. Click on newsto choose what happens when a visitor submits a form.

  1. Choose what happens when a visitor submits a form.
    • Success messageshow: Displays a success message. Edit the message settings:
      1. Enter the message you want to view.
      2. Choose how long you want the message to appear.
    • Link a page or lightbox: Direct visitors to another page on your website or to a lightbox (popup).
      1. Click on that Link-symbol.
      2. Select the appropriate item on the left and enter the link details on the right.
      3. Click on OK.
    • Link external url: Redirect visitors to an external web address.
      1. Click on that Link-symbol.
      2. Enter the URL on the right.
      3. Click on OK.
    • Show download link: Allow visitors to download a file after submitting the form.
      Note: This is a premium feature that requires an Ascend plan.
      1. Click on Upload fileto choose the file your website visitors can download.
        Note: You can add the formats doc & .docx, .xls & .xlsx, .ppt & .pptx, .odt, .odp and .pdf. You cannot upload password-protected documents.
      2. Edit the download link text.

Subscriber Privacy

Your subscriber's data will remain secret even when sending an email marketing campaign. Subscribers can only see their own email addresses at a time.
