Add 1/2 cup of paint thinner to a 1 gallon paint bucket. Measure and add 1 cup of lacquer flakes to the pain thinner and gently stir the ingredients with a paint mixing stick. Let the varnish rest for 15 minutes and stir it with the stirring rod. To thicken the varnish, add 1/4 cup of paint thinner at a time until you get a mixture that is consistent with syrup. Add more flakes - 1/2 cup at a time - to thicken the mixture.

step 2

Add 1/2 cup of white powdered dye to the varnish and evenly distribute the powder over the varnish mixture. Using a blender, mix the ingredients until the white paint is completely mixed with the varnish. Let the varnish mixture sit for 30 minutes to allow the dye to be fully assimilated.

step 3

Check out the white toned one paintto watch its color. Paint a small amount of varnish on a piece of wood and let it dry for 30 minutes. If the mixture is too dark, add 1/8 cup of thinner and 1/4 cup of lacquer flakes; If the mixture isn't white enough then add 1/4 cup of white dye addeduntil the color is reached.
