Frontier in Flames is an escalation, it can be triggered in the Blood Military Complex. As usual, the individual stages are each a few systems apart.

Level 1 [edit | Edit source]

Description:Going through the logs from one of the command ships you blasted, you come across a recent memo containing a draft for a plan where forces from this Military Complex and another similar to this one were to gang up and raid a space trucker station somewhere in the region. Where this space trucker station is, is not included in the logs, but the location of the rally point is there. It is supposed to be by a small asteroid belt, not too far away.


You end up at an acceleration gate.

The Faction Battleship leaves Dark Blood Faction Module, its dog tag, and Tech2 Salvage.

Killing the faction battleship and / or using the acceleration gate will trigger the second escalation stage if you are lucky.

If you fly through the acceleration gate, you land about 150km next to a small nebula with a few small asteroids. This is guarded by a ship.

If the escalation series ends here prematurely, the following popup appears: You scan the wreck for further info, examine the location and listen for a while on all channels ... but nothing. It seems you have lost the trail of this raiding party.

Level 2 [edit | Edit source]

Description:From the wreckage of this ship, you get info on where it is from, it is another blood station. Well, more an outpost than a station perhaps, but it is a pure military outfit, not a regular colony.


You land - without an acceleration gate - in a brown fog in which a few structures are anchored. There are also some asteroids.

At the beginning there is a wave with a Dark Blood Faction ship, waves 2 and 3 appear at short intervals. All ships are far away; the stasis towers weave over a large distance (at least 150 km).

First wave - approx. 140 km away

  • 1 Faction Battleship (Dark Blood Cardinal) - not always

  • 4 Battleships (Corpus Patriarch / Pope)
  • 4 Elite Cruiser (Elder Corpum Arch Templar / Priest / Revenant) - NOS, tracking disruptor


Second wave - after less than a minute, about 150 km away

  • 4 Battlecruiser (Corpatis Exorcist / Phantom / Shade)


Third wave - after another minute, about 140 km away

  • 3 battleships (Corpus Archbishop / Harbinger) - NOS
  • 4 Battlecruiser (Corpatis Bishop / Exorcist / Seer)

Fourth wave - when all ships of wave 3 are destroyed, approx. 140 km away

  • 5 battleships (Corpus Archbishop / Harbinger) - NOS

The shooting down of the faction battleship leads to the triggering of the third escalation stage if you are lucky.

Structures: no prey

Level 3 [edit | Edit source]

Description:Again you let your scanners comb the remains of the station and the ships, looking for clues on this alleged raid, and before long you are holding a log listing the second rally spot and as far as you can see, the raiding parties have already departed from here and two other stations and are supposed to convene within the hour. If one of the raiding parties was supposed to come from the blood station you destroyed originally, you have already managed to diminish their forces somewhat.

You end up at an acceleration gate.

The Faction Battleship leaves Dark Blood Faction Module, its dog tag, and Tech2 Salvage.

Killing the faction battleship normally triggers the last level of escalation.

If the downing of the faction ship does not trigger any feedback, you should fly through the gate. On the other hand there is only one guidance beacon around 80 km away. Approaching less than 20 km should trigger the trigger (premature end or last step).

Level 4 [edit | Edit source]

Description:A fixed guidance beacon sitting here all alone .. you examine the thing and discover its guidance system points to a place not too far away. Perhaps that is the space trucker station? In any case, that is the only clue you have to follow, if the pirates have ever been here, they have gone already.


Warp-in popup: Space trucker depot - A peaceful station, where transport ships get refitted and refueled. Almost too peaceful ...

One reaches - without an acceleration gate - a kind of space rest area. At the beginning there is no ship, then three waves appear every 3 minutes.


First wave - after about 1 minute
Report: Angel Raider: Looks like the place is ready for the pickin '. There's some stragglers left behind to defend the place, so go get 'em! Then get ready for da lootin '!

Captain Blood Raven does pretty heavy damage - even at great distances. Its resistances are also not to be despised, you need around 1000 DPS to be able to shoot it successfully. With a bit of luck you will find Corpus A-Type and / or Dark Blood Faction items in his wreck.

If you still want to have some fun, you can shoot at the Space Trucker Pit-Stop. A squadron of mercenaries (Angel Ships) appears to defend the structure.
