You can therefore support wound healing through a specific diet or intake of the vitamin. For example, foods like egg yolks and herring contain vitamin D3. But be careful: You should not try to compensate for the vitamin D3 deficiency by excessive sunbathing, because direct sun is dangerous for fresh wounds and scars and can impair wound healing and cause scarring.
