Cosmic psychos oh what a beautiful Pierre

01.12.17: Fuuu, is it already December? Yes, and thank you for such a stressful Friday that I was late for my own radio show. Thankfully, E. took over the first half. After that I was still shopping for distant food and shopping normally. And finally I found myself back in a movie theater. The LiWu showed “God’s Own Country” in the subtitles version. The film took me with it - rugged British landscapes, even more rugged characters and a plot that runs like a tendril in between. Anyway, I felt very entertained, despite some disturbing scenes. A 1A drama. (9/10)

02.12.17: The workshop scheduled for this day was canceled due to illness. That gave me time to sit down with A. and talk about editorial issues. From the radio I went to the comics hangout in Marat. There weren't many there, but the exchange was still very nice. Then I had to go on again. because I had an interview appointment with Newfoundland (from Cologne). Super friendly people. I got myself a perfect dinner (including premium cream sauce) and then went to the concert. Then we went briefly to REWE and evaluated things at LOHRO.

December 3rd, 2017: I slept in on Sunday and got ready for the next short trip. First, however, an editorial meeting at LOHRO was on the agenda. People were relaxed and it didn't take long. In the evening I was drawn to Hamburg. There Normandie played a concert in Headcrash (near Reeperbahn) together with William Ryan Key. I forgot the support act during the evening. WRK was surprisingly nice, thanks to the slightly electronic versions of well-known tracks. Whereby ... what am I writing? I only heard the last Yellowcard album once. So everything was new to me. Unlike Normandy, where I had enough material to sing along to. It was very nice to talk to the musicians again. In order not to have to look for the way to the sleeping place in the dark again, I had set myself an alarm clock and noted down the relevant local transport connections. So I then took the last S-Bahn towards the main train station, where my hotel was nearby.

December 4th, 2017: My night was as short as a “Lord of the Rings” movie and four hours later I was back at work with fond memories of the weekend. Then in the evening some exercise and the necessary extra portion of sleep. Then I was still at LOHRO to prepare for the broadcast and went with C. for a drink in the Geier, where the price table was probably renewed at the turn of the month.

December 5th, 2017: Tuesday also required extra sleep, which I was able to get myself at 4:30 p.m. Then there was some sport, editorial fuss and the next visit to the cinema. I watched “120 BPM” in LiWu, a drama whose end shouldn't leave anyone indifferent. Unfortunately, I found the film a bit confused at times, but I see the relevance of the topic of AIDS prevention. (7/10)

December 6th, 2017: I guess at this point the second sleeping unit in the evening became my quirk. Well, at least I managed to do it before the editorial meeting. And immediately afterwards we went (in matching shirts) to the MAU Club, where Antilopen Gang gave a very nice concert. Goldroger's support was okay, but it seemed a bit monotonous after halfway through.

December 7th, 2017: First Thursday of the month? N / A? Yeah, movie show. And then? A concert visit. Back in the MAU club. Same location, but totally different audiences. I'm silent about the opening act for Johnossi. Only that much. After 15 minutes, they gave up. Johnossi played wonderfully. The (somewhat exhausting) crowd went with me. I thought it was worth it.

December 8th, 2017: My Friday in a nutshell: work, music show (with lots of party songs), going to the cinema.
“2001: A Space Odyssey” was shown in the LiWu treasure chest. Beautiful classic, in even more beautiful pictures, so that you can see it on the canvas.

December 9th, 2017: On Saturday I was invited to C. and L.’s birthday brunch in Café Marat. There were a lot of people there who had their share of the buffet. At first I felt a bit out of place, but that went away after the first few conversations. My pocket megaphone accidentally went off, causing confusion for minutes. In the afternoon I designed a special program with many music requests and a surprise guest to match the Frieda23 day of action (motto “1001 Nights”). Then I chatted with a few people who had participated, saw how the next buffet was being set up, and hurried to make it to the train home that evening.

December 10th, 2017: Sunday in one word: chilling out.

December 11th, 2017: On Monday we visited C. in Prora for her birthday. Unfortunately, I couldn't stay long because I had to go back to town. There I first gave myself some sport and then went to the cinema in the city center. I was curious to see which film they would show in the OV-Sneak, when there were fewer reboots besides Star Wars. It became “It Comes At Night”, a horror film that chased away a few viewers. But I got through the sometimes lengthy film. Even if there is nothing to complain about in terms of acting, I found myself again in the situation of hardly being able to distribute sympathy points among the characters. Hence my rating. (6/10)

December 12th, 2017: Before I went to work on Tuesday, I had to pick up 50 rolls from the bakery, which I had ordered by phone on Sunday, quite last-minute. Hm, the scent. We made breakfast for our colleagues. In the evening I still had training and the sobering realization that the committee meeting had apparently been postponed without notice. Well ...

12/13/17: A routine Wednesday: work and LOHRO music editing.

14.12.17: This day was dedicated to the company. Because right after the working day our Christmas dinner took place in the Sporthotel. From there we traditionally moved to the HCC, where we bowled for two hours. Again, I didn't have to calculate my chances. But nobody goes home empty anyway.

12/15/17: Oh, what a Friday. After work, moderated a beat operation again. Then I stopped by the farmer's shop again. At home I allowed myself some sleep and then around midnight I was ready for the Sonic Superstore Party in the intermediate building. And now the hardship: when I arrived, 2 songs were still playing. Then the lights came on. But the evening wasn't to end yet. We agreed to go to the ST club. At first it was very crowded and uncomfortable. But when the 80s music phase started, our mood improved. It was a nice dance evening with shots. 😀

December 16, 2017: On this Saturday I got up sometime in the afternoon, had household items and then went to the Sequential Art store, where a KTV campaign was taking place in conjunction with other stores. I chatted with R. and K. and then went to the Geier, where the LOHRO Christmas party was taking place. The hard core stayed until the end and joined the group for a visit to the Planbar, where - oh wonder - karaoke was sung. I think many of those present found it amusing. As I said… “I believe”… 😛

December 17, 2017: When I was back in the realm of the living around 4 p.m., I went to J. in the VEIS Café and ate my first vegan waffle. (Cinnamon ice cream as a topping: yay, too much chocolate sauce: ney) Then I hurried to the radio because I wanted to pre-produce a program - almost in no time at all. Oops, that was stressful. Reason? Movie theater. I also wanted to see the OV version of “Star Wars: The Last Jedi”. I couldn't get rid of one of my cards in my circle of friends. So I was happy that H. came with me.
About the film: Wow, I've never been so impressed by a Star Wars film in the cinema. (9/10)
After that, I kept the broadcast in LOHRO's system and visited H. in the hackspace, where there were some topics to discuss. (Yes, it was getting late.)

December 18th, 2017: My Monday looked like this: work, sleep, sport, sleep, bar quiz with LOHRO participants.

12/19/17: The week should get even crazier. Because on Tuesday I took another short trip to Hamburg. Reason: K. celebrated the release of his new EP in the Astra-Stube. The opening act Cavinu had amazing sounds with the violin and Konstantin Unwohl delivered beautiful basses. It was a stark scene. (You can find both at Bandcamp.) Later at the hotel I watched some comedy on my iPad. (Wanda Sykes and Craig Ferguson.)

12/20/17: Routine on Wednesday? Hardly when you wake up in Hamburg. Then first drive back to Rostock and work half a day before going back to LOHRO for the final music editorial meeting in 2017. And since a final meeting in the hackspace was agreed, I went there and chatted with S ..

12/21/17: My Thursday in short: work, Christmas round at Frieda23 and cinema evening with M .. Again “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” - stop now in German.

December 22nd, 2017: After the last working day before Christmas, I insisted on playing many Christmas carols in the beat mode. Then some sport and the appointment with M. for “Love Will Tear Us Apart” in the Peter-Weiss-Haus. In the Marat I met F., who gave me rare feedback about my involvement with LOHRO. The music selection was okay, but not as nice as the time before. The evening shouldn't be long.

12/23/17: Also good, I was even able to take a train home earlier. Once there, I was busy again in the kitchen to bake a cake. In the evening there was a sweet potato and peanut soup that I pimped with hot sauce.

December 24th, 2017: Christmas Eve in the family: So lots to eat and gifts. Plus Loriot on TV. Nice.

December 25th, 2017: During the day I chilled, watched a few videos and in the afternoon walked through the town - saw the many changes and let my mind wander. On the feast day, duck was served in the evening. Then we let ourselves be sprinkled with "Gone with the Wind". I found the film a bit confused and lame.

December 26th, 2017: On Boxing Day the weather was really nice. I noticed this as soon as I got my sandwiches in the morning. Accordingly, I was out for a walk again in the afternoon. This time along the beach promenade towards Prora. For the evening we had made a reservation in the boathouse, where I had a perfect fish plate. Til Schweiger's “honey in the head” was supposed to take care of the evening sprinkling. I started to suffer after just 20 minutes. Thanks to Twitter, I found enough distraction.

12/27/17: Since I still had this day off, I was able to stay in bed long enough. Then I was busy with several broadcast preparations again. As soon as I was back in Rostock, I was very much into sport. Thought and done. That evening I went to LOHRO for another late night show. C. soon joined the team and was initially unsure how it should work. But a few mod takes later, the mood was good.

12/28/17: Unfortunately, the work between the years wasn't as relaxed as I had hoped, which I was able to notice in the first few minutes at work. Anyway, doesn't help. In the evening I had my balance on the interactive radio again. Together with P. I designed an hour with various topics and edgy music.

12/29/17: I'm glad that I started preparing for my personal music best-of (including the on-air anniversary) very early. Because the working day was so stressful that I would otherwise hardly have been able to do it. From my point of view, the two-hour special should have been thought through a bit better. How daring was I to want to incorporate 22 songs into that. Well, at least my little tradition was preserved. Then I allowed myself a little sleep and went to the cinema with G. to see “This stupid heart”. It wasn't so much the heart as the supporting cast that could have made me curse. I think that the plot seems forced, was already evident from the trailer. Well, rather dull mass-produced goods. (6/10)

December 30th, 2017: My final Saturday 2017: divine sleep, sport, shopping spree (including waffles at VEIS and Fernkost) and an evening full of blogging.

12/31/17: My final Sunday 2017: good sleep, pick up the pancake order and lots of blogging ... until now ... sequel follows

It remains with best wishes for the new year
