We make PDF searches easy

To make working with PDF files even easier for our users, we have created a free PDF reader that can perform basic functions so that you can search for words in multiple PDFs. Simply access our PDF reader and then follow the instructions as described earlier in this article to search PDF files for words.

As mentioned earlier, document search is similar in pretty much every PDF reader. Regardless of whether you view your files with Smallpdf, Adobe Acrobat Reader or Preview, you should be able to search through the content with a simple press of two buttons.

The dialog box is case insensitive, so you don't have to worry about the case of the text you're trying to find, and the search facility will still find each of the words you typed for you.

Smallpdf Reader automatically detects bookmarks and displays them on the left-hand side to make navigation in PDF documents even more accessible for your needs. Millions of students, teachers and business people have to work through textbooks and detailed manuals every day and appreciate our reader very much, if only for its PDF search function.

How to Search a Scanned PDF

In the event that the content is placed in PDFs as an image, you would first have to convert the PDF file to an editable format such as Word using our PDF converter. After that, you can download the document and go through its contents in the same way as indicated.

Advanced search is enabled in Microsoft Word and Excel and allows you to search for multiple sentences and even replace one word in your document with another.
