I agree with the 3 minutes in which the injector test runs, but the exceeded measurement of 200-210ml per injector, which must not be exceeded ....... seems too high to me .......

with the 4 cylinders it is max 120ml in total and with the 6 cylinders 180ml i.e. max 30ml in 3 minutes per cylinder even more precisely according to bmw 10ccm per minute ......
If the customer asks: If the doo works, they say, if it works, then if it is net then net!

Hello kampfa,

in principle no.

It won't do anything. When the injectors return too much
such a remedy will not lead to success.
These agents only clean the surface.

Injectors can be dismantled to a certain extent.
But when you do that you have to know what you are doing.
The thought "I'll give it a try" is out of place.

I myself have often had injectors (not those from gasoline engines)
different design (it doesn't matter whether PDEs or CRIs) in one
Ultrasonic bath cleaned. With special cleaning agents. There
it's about the coking, the soot deposits.

If you want to try cleaning, then just one
Ultrasonic bath and a special injector / nozzle cleaning agent.
Just use the ultrasonic bath with some "home remedies"
harmful. It remains to be seen whether this will be successful.
You can't know that beforehand.

However, this can only be attempted if the engine takes longer to start
than usual, has reduced performance, has black smoke or the
Final speed is no longer reached.

In your case, only replacing the injectors in question will help.

With kind regards
Bardock

P.S. : To Siggi: It's all really great. Thumbs up.

Kind regards
So,

I have now also done the return quantity test on my 320dA. 35ml per injector. So a total of 140ml.

Is 140 ml normal?

Hey, I would love to revive this thread. Can someone create a manual for an E90 320d?
So right step by step, where something has to be done.
Would be super nice!

Hello
I also have the problem with starting in a warm state. Takes a lot longer than in the cold
Did the leak oil test
Cylinder 1 65ml 4 60ml
2 50ml 5 65ml
3 60ml 6 60ml
Running time 3min warm condition
BMW E-39 530d Bj 2000 280Tk 184 PS
Is there an injector suspicious or are they ok
The engine runs quietly and has power
Oh yes, the camshaft sensor I renewed is a little better but not like before
Maybe someone can help me
